Please join us for our next Graduate Student Association (GSA) General Assembly meeting!! We meet the first Tuesday of each month (October to June) from 6 PM- 8 PM in the GSA Lounge, located on the second floor of the UCSB Multicultural Center.

The GSA hosts regular social events during the academic year, including Bagel and Coffee Hour Wednesdays from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Grad Lounge, and Happy Hour the first Friday of every month.  We also provide free coffee every weekday in the Grad Lounge.  In addition to social events, this year, your GSA will also host a set of informational workshops, beginning in the fall, describing campus resources and services available for graduate students.  We would like for you to attend all of our events and seize the opportunities for meeting new people and building lasting relationships.  Please feel free to suggest content for our campus resource and services workshops to gsavpinternal@gmail.com.

The GSA Spring Beach Party will take place on

Friday, June 7, 2013 at Goleta Beach Park Area D, 4-6pm.

Come relax, eat, drink, and celebrate!  Bring fellow graduate students!  Families and children welcome!

We will provide food, including BBQ hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, veggie dogs, salads, non-alcoholic beverages, etc.  BYOB.   We will also have Frisbees and games/toys for kids.

GSA will also host the 2nd Annual Dr. Mixologist Cocktail Competition.  To enter, bring ingredients for 4 servings.  One drink per competitor. Ice will be provided. Preferred that cocktails are mixed on site however pre-mix is allowed. Points for originality, taste, presentation, drink name, mixing (drink prep) style. Contest begins at 5pm.  Prizes for winners.
